Our leadership team is committed to fostering a community of collaboration, curiosity, and innovation. We bring together students passionate about chemistry and its applications to make an impact within and beyond our chapter. As a team, we strive to create opportunities for growth, promote inclusivity, and inspire the next generation of scientists and leaders.

Leadership Positions

President:

  • Leads the chapter and sets the vision for the year, ensuring alignment with ACS national goals.

  • Acts as the primary representative of the chapter to faculty, the administration, and external organizations.

  • Oversees the work of all officers, ensuring effective communication and coordination among them.

Vice President:

  • Assists the president in the management of chapter activities and assumes the president’s duties in their absence.

  • Coordinates specific projects or initiatives and ensures that the chapter meets its objectives.

  • Serves as a liaison between the executive board and chapter members, ensuring that member needs are communicated.

Secretary:

  • Records and distributes meeting minutes, maintaining an organized archive of chapter communications.

  • Manages membership records and tracks attendance at chapter events.

  • Handles internal and external communication, ensuring timely updates about meetings, events, and opportunities.

Treasurer:

  • Manages the chapter's finances, developing and maintaining a clear budget.

  • Tracks income from fundraising and expenditures, ensuring proper financial management.

  • Works with the executive board to plan financial strategies, including securing funding and sponsorships for events.

Membership & Outreach Chair

  • Develops strategies for recruiting new members and retaining current ones, ensuring strong chapter growth.

  • Organizes outreach events to engage with the wider community and raise awareness of the chapter’s activities.

  • Collaborates with the president and public relations chair to communicate the value of membership to potential members.

Event & Public Relations Chair 

  • Plans, organizes, and executes chapter events, including seminars, workshops, and socials.

  • Creates promotional materials, manages the chapter’s social media accounts, and promotes events through newsletters and flyers.

  • Cultivates relationships with other student organizations, faculty, and professionals to enhance the chapter's visibility and influence.
